Fantastice thumbnails, really inspiring, these show so much information and yet are so simple and clean.

Hello Spex, brilliant concepts and im a new fan

Was just wondering where u get your color palette for these thumbnails?

Also u seem to take a minimalistic approach by defining areas with very little strokes,im sure a lot of planning went ahead? did u do a sketch,or do u go with the flow?

Hmm...well, a couple of them were inspired by the color palette of photos of Spain. These I painted in straight color, with some adjustments using "curves" after the fact.
The others were generally made in greyscale, with color overlays or by using the "variations" adjustment, which gives me some options to pick from, and then building up layers of color using similar adjustments, just trying to go with what "looks right".
Once I find a good color palette I paint over things using some of those colors to reduce the "overlaid" look and make it look a little more painted.

Top right and bottom right are my favorites of this set, although top left comes in at close third. Great colors and compositions. Are you planning on taking any of these any further?

Pretty cool looking all of them. It would be nice to see them more developped in the future
