you have a really good habit of doing a lot of variations before you finalize anything... mental note taken.. fun drone man.. all the variations.. the line work and the depth build up.. heh, i think of the Giger alien ref right away when i look at them.. the finalized version is definitely your best solution.. went from an organic soft curve look to a techy hard edged industrial look though still retained a lot of organic qualities.. as always, very sharp finish
Thanks a bunch I'm getting pretty frustrated with my inability to do clean linework. I used to be pretty decent with pen/marker, but it was just so tedious. Now I'm trying to figure out a way to do pencil linework that doesn't involve neck cramps and bleeding eyeballs. Drawing guides are so boring and nitpicky, but freehanding is just a little too messy. Yarg! I'm sure there's a happy median somewhere.
It's amazing how so very simple your technique is, and yet is yields results that resemble a 3d model. What are you? Some kind of psycho robot drafting machine? Don't pedal your your vile candy to me, candyman! I won't buy it!
