Thanks! I doubt I'll win--as I suspected, near the end of the competition the bar has risen. There are some really great entries :D The only thing I have on my side still is the fact that character looks like he could belong in the game, and his abilities don't overlap those of the existing infected.
Still fun to contribute though...I haven't played the demo yet, but I will! Or I'll just purchase the game...it's only a few days away, now.

Won a runner-up with this guy! I got lucky, I think--there were many superior entires, in terms of pure rendering quality. So thanks for the luck, it must have helped :D

OMG that is fucking awsome, would totaly see that in L4D.
Me and the lads just finished the game on expert, would have been fun (and terrifing) running into a monstosity like that!

Thanks everyone :D I just installed the game and shot me some infected. I suck...lol. Things should get better, though.
Actually playing the game has forced me to see that a ranged attack against survivors would be very tough, because they're always running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Who knows, it could work, if the player had good enough aim, or if there wass some auto-targeting involved.
* as for the size, this infected would be just over waist high, when crouched. So large, but not nearly as big as the tank or boomer.
